1) First of all, I tend to write Cyrus as being what psychologists term a "highly sensitive person"--that is, he's actually acutely sensitive and intensely emotional, but obsessed with denying this. I love the idea of him being the very thing he hates--I think it adds so much depth to who he is (and it's canon he has, at very least, just as many emotions as anyone else, which he's nowhere near as good at hiding as he thinks he is).
2) Cyrus is the "villain of air." As such, he's obsessed with tall mountains, other high places, flight, flying pokemon, the sky, and celestial bodies like stars and planets.
3) Cyrus is a master manipulator, who's good at playing mind games to get what he wants. He can be friendly to those he wants to get something from, and then treat them cruelly once their usefulness has run its course or they can't escape. If he wants to get someone's attention badly, he'll gather intel on them to determine how to forge a connection.
4) Cyrus does not discriminate in terms of who he allows on his team. He'll allow anyone on the team as long as they'll do what he says. He is, however, a rotten boss who treats all workers under his control as slaves.
5) Cyrus has a long history with the first three pokemon he has (Honchkrow, Crobat, and Weavile), and he loves them with all his heart. His other two pokemon he cares for too, but less so.
