Oi, it's a real problem. I think it's a bit more excusable in A Sporking Rat's current sporking, because it's literally counting up infamous aspects of the Anita Blake books that EVERYONE has commented upon for years ('How many "spills" are there per book? How many times does Anita say "What does that mean?" when the answer is obvious to anyone with a brain?'), but when it's just to see how many counts you can get, it just turns obnoxious.
(In all fairness, I do use counts in my own sporkings. I DON'T think I abuse them as often as... some sporkers do, however. :\)
I really think half these counts would be better off as things discussed at various 'checkpoints' in the story than as a constant din throughout. It becomes repetitive, boring, and tedious. Not to mention it makes the sporkers sound hysterical when they start giving x1029300328843108 points ~because something was really, really awful~, 'cos... doesn't that just ruin the point of having a count in the first place when you start spamming it on every ~really bad~ point?! Jeez!
