Amazing Technicolor Madoka Magica!

 I know this is going to seem really obvious, but I love how all the girls in "Madoka Magica" are color-coded.

Madoka: Pink
Sayaka: Blue
Homura: Black
Mami: Yellow
Kyoko: Red

Just like little dolls ^-^

I'm just wondering if the colors serve any purpose (like the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" color schemes) or if they're just there to keep to the traditions of magical-girl shows like "Sailor Moon" or "Tokyo Mew Mew."

Oddly enough, I thought Homura was brown at first. But it turns out she's got a purple color scheme and black hair. STOP SCREWING ME UP, HOMURA.

I've always been a sucker for color schemes, especially in magical girl anime. :)
