From what I remember, the names of Pokemon are always capitalized in the games. Plus the lower-cased vs. upper-cased debate makes me think of snobby, elitist Pokemon authors who jump on your throat for the slightest grammatical error, so when Pokemon names are spelled in lower-case, especially considering how they're capitalized in the games, it puts a bad taste in my mouth.
